Buy, exchange and fill gas bottles at HERY in Bad Säckingen

We are your PROGAS gas cylinder dealer in the region and offer gas cylinders and bottled gas for various purposes.

In our range you will find gas bottles in different sizes, shapes and colours. For classic fuel gas, a distinction is made between grey and red gas bottles. Grey indicates the property bottles (also called usage bottles), which you as the owner can exchange for a newly filled bottle at your dealer. The red deposit bottles are available filled - against a bottle deposit - from your dealer. Both types of gas bottles are available as 5 kg bottles and 11 kg bottles. When it comes to deposit bottles, PROGAS also offers a 33 kg bottle at certain sales outlets. A green 11 kg bottle from PROGAS, on the other hand, is a forklift gas bottle and the blue and silver 8 kg bottle variant is the "Meat Lover" grill bottle for the perfect BBQ moments.

How much does a gas bottle cost

The price for a propane bottle filling varies depending on the bottle size, supplier and region. The end customer usually pays around 25 euros for a filling of the 11 kg bottle, the smaller 5 kg filling is available from around 12 euros: The empty gray bottles (also called property bottles) can be exchanged free of charge at all suppliers, the red deposit bottles can also be exchanged for full ones at the respective supplier's sales outlets. If there is no bottle to exchange, purchasing a gray bottle often costs around 35 euros to 55 euros. Again, there are differences depending on the bottle size, supplier and region. These bottles cannot be returned. The amount for the red deposit bottles, on the other hand, is refunded when returned and is currently around 25 euros (5kg) or around 32 euros (11kg).

Where can I buy gas bottles?

Gas bottles can now be exchanged, borrowed or purchased in many places. These include petrol stations, hardware stores, garden centres, drinks retailers and specialist stores for building materials. PROGAS has a nationwide dealer network of more than 2,500 affiliated partners for its range of liquid gas bottles.

What is the difference between red and grey gas bottles?

The red gas bottles are deposit bottles for which the retailer charges a deposit when purchasing and which is refunded when returned. In contrast, the grey gas bottles are property or usage bottles. These belong to the customer and are exchanged for a freshly filled gas bottle at the retailer.
